Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2025

1. The service

Rune provides a runtime security monitoring platform for AI agents ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Rune on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Acceptable use

You may use Rune to monitor AI agents that you own or operate. You may not:

  • Use the Service to monitor agents you do not have authorisation to monitor
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent, or interfere with the Service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to process data in violation of applicable laws, including privacy regulations
  • Send data that you do not have the right to send, including data belonging to third parties

3. Plans and billing

Rune offers a free Community plan and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Growth). Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

If your usage exceeds your plan limits, we will notify you. We will not automatically upgrade your plan or charge overage fees without your consent.

You may cancel your paid plan at any time. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods.

Uptime targets are goals, not guarantees. We strive to meet them but do not provide service credits for downtime on any plan tier during the beta period.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you send to Rune. We process it solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored, retained, and protected.

6. Intellectual property

Rune and its platform, including the scanning engine, dashboard, and APIs, are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rune is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

8. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination where feasible.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
